MINISTRIES

Below is a list of Ministries that help put our faith into action here at White Stone and beyond.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

We believe that children are important to God, and they are disciples in the making!

Our Children’s Ministry runs from birth through 6th grade during the 9:30 and 11 am services. We partner with parents to lead children towards a personal relationship with a loving God. Through worship, God’s Word, prayer and sharing, children experience His unstoppable love and learn His Biblical truths. Our passion is to prepare children for a lifetime of running after Jesus!  Email Jaime below if you have any questions.

Special Buddies

White Stone Children’s Ministry seeks to help all children learn about Jesus in their own way through the Special Buddies program. Special Buddies are partnered one-to-one with a child with special needs in order to help them in Sunday school classes and grow their faith. Individualized training is provided for volunteers. Email Ashley below to join the team or to have your child added to the program.

YOUTH MINISTRY

The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to show students how they can live their lives as disciples of Jesus. Our Youth Ministry is made up of students from all over the Lake Country Area. The 7/8th grade Youth Group meets every Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. & the High School Youth Group is for students in 9th-12th grade and meets Thursdays from 7:15-9 p.m . Both groups are held upstairs in the loft area at White Stone.

Students here like to have a good time, they like to be real, and they enjoy exploring who God is. Youth Group is a non-threatening place to meet others, a place to laugh, and a place to discuss issues that matter. We also do fun things like parties, winter retreats, and more!

ADULT EDUCATION

Adult Education Classes take place on Sunday mornings in the downstairs classroom. New classes are listed in the bulletin and the Events page. You can also listen to past classes by clicking the button below.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

The goal of White Stone’s Women’s Ministry (WSWM) is to come alongside women and link arms with them, as they pursue becoming fully alive to the love and glory of God. Women have very special and specific roles to play in the Kingdom of God and we work to disciple, teach, and encourage them on their journey toward the heart of Jesus.

The Kingdom of God advances with women who know and love Jesus, seek to hear his voice, and take his perspective on the details of their lives.  This is not a quick or easy task.  This involves delving deep into the hearts of women, joining them in their sorrows, addressing their questions and doubts, and dancing with them in their victories.  Rachel, the WSWM Leader, would love to grab a cup of coffee with you, just send her an email!

MEN'S MINISTRY

The Men’s Ministry (Men of Stone) is all about developing meaningful relationships between men that will strengthen families and the church body, and equipping men to be disciples of Jesus Christ. They do this through meeting regularly for bible studies, men’s breakfasts and testimonies, and times away at Bootcamps and the yearly Men’s Advance at Fort Wilderness.

MARRIAGE MINISTRY

The Marriage Ministry exists to help strengthen marriages, promote fellowship within the church, share knowledge and information, and encourage and support families based on Christian’s principles. The team plans to provide opportunities for married couples to strengthen their relationship by offering classes and events on a range of topics in the months to come.

FOREIGN MISSIONS

White Stone believes strongly in the Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20 to “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Our foreign missions program emphasizes support of ministry endeavors which take place outside the influence of our congregation that are directed toward discipleship for the participants and those in the field. We strive to develop discipleship in the participants as we equip those in the field to better spread the gospel and meeting human physical needs.

SUNDAY MORNING HOSTS

The Host Teams welcome and serve the White Stone family and visitors during all three Sunday morning services. They greet, usher, provide information at the welcome desk, serve coffee in the café, and provide a safe environment.  If you’d like to join one of these teams, please click the link to get more information.

WORSHIP MINISTRY

The primary purpose of the White Stone Worship ministry is to lead our family into a daily rhythm of worshiping God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). A few of the ways we do that on Sundays are through corporate singing, prayer, and reading of Scripture. The Worship team aims to sing songs that focus on the centrality of Jesus Christ, and the mission of God in the world. On Sunday mornings, our musical style is all over the board, ranging from modern rock styles all the way to acoustic. We believe that unity is important in how we worship as a church family, so all three services are formatted the same.

CARE TEAM

The Care Ministry provides help to the church family and beyond. Led by our Care Pastor, John Neumann, the activities are varied and include:

  • prayer at our Wednesday Prayer Night,
  • making and delivering a hot meal through our Meal ministry,
  • helping someone at their home or driving someone to the church through Opportunities to Serve, or
  • caring for the families through the Funeral Ministry.

Caring for each other comes in many sizes and a little help goes a long way! How could you help?
